Saturday Long Run - Lady Bird Lake trail plus Enfield Triangle

If you start earlier (or later) than your group's call time, please check with your pace pals to make sure your team is all starting at the same time. As always, if you start way before the scheduled start times, please take water to cover yourselves for that first water stop (or two) in case you're ahead of the logistical team. We're touring the LB Lake trail loops plus Enfield Triangle as needed for longest routes.

3 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise Pfluger footbridge to Mopac trail loop.

4 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise First St. bridge to Mopac trail loop.

5 Miles: Your map is here. This is a clockwise Congress bridge to Mopac trail loop.

7.5 Miles: Your map is here. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Pfluger bridge. Cross over LB Lake at Pfluger bridge, back to GZLs HQ.

8.2 Miles: Your map is here. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Pfluger bridge. Cross over LB Lake at Pfluger bridge, and exit to north side trail. Take trail towards Mopac, and exit trail at metal A frame bathroom sculptures, crossing under Cesar Chavez on trail path to north side of Cesar Chavez and bike path. Take bike path back to GZLs HQ.

10 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to north side trail and back to GZLs HQ.

12 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus an out-and-back on LA Blvd. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Exposition. Turn around at Exposition, and return LA Blvd, and then back to Mopac, north side trail and back to GZLs HQ.

14 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus Scenic and Exposition. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's), where you will turn around. Return LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, stay on northside trail and back to HQ.

16 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus Scenic and Exposition. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's), and continue on Scenic to Cherry around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Windsor. Right on Windsor over to Mountain View Road (on your right a couple of streets before Exposition). Turn around on Windsor back to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor down to Cherry. Right on Cherry around to LA Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, stay on northside trail and back to HQ.

Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's), and continue on Scenic to Cherry around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Windsor. Right on Windsor over to Exposition. Left up Expo to Mountain Laurel (second Mountain Laurel). Turn around at Mountain Laurel and return Expo down to Windsor. Right on Windsor over to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor down to Cherry. Right on Cherry around to LA Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, stay on northside trail and back to HQ.

Left on Rockmoor up to Windsor. Right on Windsor over to Exposition. Left up Expo to Mountain Laurel (second Mountain Laurel). Turn around at Mountain Laurel and return Expo down to Windsor. Right on Windsor over to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor down to Cherry. Right on Cherry around to LA Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, cross to southside trail one more time, and over to First St. Bridge, up and over to northside trail and back to HQ.

21 Miles: Your map is here. Longhorn Dam to Mopac trail loop plus Scenic and Exposition. GZLs HQ to north side trail, east out to Longhorn Dam. Cross to southside of dam, to southside trail and boardwalk back to Mopac, up and across to Veterans to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd out to Enfield (Mozart's), and continue on Scenic to Cherry around to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor up to Windsor. Right on Windsor over to Exposition. Left up Expo to Mountain Laurel (second Mountain Laurel). Turn around at Mountain Laurel and return Expo down to Windsor. Right on Windsor over to Rockmoor. Left on Rockmoor down to Cherry. Right on Cherry around to LA Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac. From Mopac, cross to southside trail one more time, and over to First St. Bridge, up and over to northside trail and back to HQ. Upon arriving at the HQ neighborhood, take a victory lap around the little park in front of the apartments/condos to get up to 21 miles. You’d be at 20.6 if you skip the victory lap.

THE MARATHONS

April 27th/28th (Revel/Waco/Big Sur/Eugene/London): Taper Madness Week 3. 8-12 miles, with last 4 @ MGP. Start easy, and finish at actual MGP. Start time 5:45am.

May 5th (Toronto, Vancouver, Avenue of the Giants): Taper Madness Week 2. 12-16 miles, with last 6 @ MGP. Start easy, and finish at actual MGP. Start time 5:45am.

May 18th (Beach to Bay): 20-22 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 22 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

June 2nd (San Diego): 18-20 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 20 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

June 9th (Tunnel Marathon): 12-14 mile recovery long run. Back off from last week. Start time 5:45am.

June 22nd (Grandma's): 12-14 mile recovery long run. Back off from last week. Start time 5:45am.

July 28th (San Francisco): 10-14 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 14 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

BEGINNER GAZELLES, HALF MARATHONERS, and EVERYBODY ELSE:

Beginner Gazelles!  This week, 3-7 miles. Choose a distance amongst your pace pals, up to that 7 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

Everybody Else (GZLs peeps): 7-12 miles. If you went 12 last week, maybe cut back to 7-10 this week. For anything else, add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile mark. Start time 5:45am.

April 28th (Eugene Half Marathon): 4-8 miles, last 3 at HMGP. Start time 5:45am.

May 5th (Vancouver Half): 6-10 miles, last 4 at HMGP. Start time 5:45am.

May 18th (Brooklyn Half): 10-14 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 14 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

May 26th (Mountains to Beach Half): 5-8 mile recovery long run. Start time 5:45am.

June 29th (Santa Barbara Half): 8-10 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 10 mile max. Start time 5:45am.
