CARPOOL ALERT: 16-22 milers carpooling from points north. Carpools leaving GZLs HQ 5:15-5:30 to get up north for first running steps around 5:45am. 16-22 milers leaving from Big Lots parking lot at Spicewood Springs @ 183.

0-14 milers leaving Gazelles HQ at 5:45am.

THE MAPS

If you start earlier (or later) than your group's call time, please check with your pace pals to make sure your team is all starting at the same time. As always, if you start way before the scheduled start times, please take water to cover yourselves for that first water stop (or two) in case you're ahead of the logistical team. ALSO: PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU START WAY LATER THAN THE SCHEDULED START TIMES, SOME OF THE WATER STOPS MAY HAVE BEEN MOVED TO SERVICE FURTHER DOWN THE COURSE, AND YOU MAY HAVE TO FEND FOR YOURSELVES. THIS IS NOT PACE-RELATED, JUST START TIME RELATED. Longest runners (16-24 miles) are going point to point from points north, finishing via Bull Creek to 35th to Expo, with an extra loop over to Shoal Creek for the longest runners. The rest of us are touring the start of the Cap 10K route, plus a loop route for those in the mid-distances from HQ.

LOOP COURSES

3 Miles: Your map is here. This starts with basically a taste of the  Cap 10K course. Leave HQ to northside trail over to Congress. Take Congress up to 11th. Turn around at 11th, and return Congress down to 3rd St. Right on 3rd Street over to Seaholm and Trader Joe's, and to Electric, and back to GZLs HQ. 

4 Miles: Your map is here. This starts with basically a taste of the Cap 10K course. Leave HQ to northside trail over to Congress. Take Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th, left on San Jacinto, then right on 12th over to Trinity. Left on Trinity up to 15th. Left on 15th, over to San Jacinto. Left on San Jacinto up to 11th. Right on 11th to Congress. Left on Congress down to 3rd St. Right on 3rd Street over to Seaholm and Trader Joe's, and to Electric, and back to GZLs HQ. 

5 Miles: Your map is here. This starts with basically a taste of the Cap 10K course. Leave HQ to northside trail over to Congress. Take Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th, left on San Jacinto, then right on 12th over to Trinity. Left on Trinity up to 15th. Left on 15th, and take 15th across to Lavaca. Left on Lavaca down a few blocks to 13th. Left on 13th over to Colorado. Right on Colorado around to 11th. Left on 11th to Congress. Right on Congress down to northside trail and back to GZLs HQ. 

7 Miles: Your map is here. This starts with basically the Cap 10K course. Leave HQ to northside trail over to Congress. Take Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th, left on San Jacinto, then right on 12th over to Trinity. Left on Trinity up to 15th. Left on 15th, and take 15th all the way across town to Mopac. Go under Mopac, and then continue 15th over to Exposition. Left on Expo down to LA Blvd, then left on LA Blvd back to Mopac, to northside trail and back to GZLs HQ. 

8.4 Miles: Your map is here. This starts with basically the Cap 10K course. Leave HQ to northside trail over to Congress. Take Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th, left on San Jacinto, then right on 12th over to Trinity. Left on Trinity up to 15th. Left on 15th, and take 15th all the way across town to Mopac. Go under Mopac, and then continue 15th over to Scenic (Mozart's corner). Left to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac, to northside trail and back to GZLs HQ. 

10 Miles: Your map is here. This starts with basically the Cap 10K course. Leave HQ to northside trail over to Congress. Take Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th, left on San Jacinto, then right on 12th over to Trinity. Left on Trinity up to 15th. Left on 15th, and take 15th over to Guadalupe. Right on Guadalupe up to 34th Street. Left on 34th behind the hospital complex, winding up to merger with 35th at Randall's. NOTE: CROSS STREET TO NORTH SIDE OF 35TH TO GET THE WATER STOP AT JACKSON. Left on 35th, crossing up and over Mopac to Exposition. Left on Expo down to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac, to northside trail and back to GZLs HQ. 

12 Miles: Your map is here. This starts with basically the Cap 10K course. Leave HQ to northside trail over to Congress. Take Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th, left on San Jacinto, then right on 12th over to Trinity. Left on Trinity up to 15th. Left on 15th, and take 15th over to Guadalupe. Right on Guadalupe up to 34th Street. Left on 34th behind the hospital complex, winding up to merger with 35th at Randall's. NOTE: CROSS STREET TO NORTH SIDE OF 35TH TO GET THE WATER STOP AT JACKSON. Left on 35th, to Jackson. Right on Jackson up to Bull Creek. Left on Bull Creek across 45th to first street on left, which is Perry Lane. Turn around at Perry Lane, and return down Bull Creek to Jackson, back to 35th. Right on 35th, crossing up and over Mopac to Exposition. Left on Expo down to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac, to northside trail and back to GZLs HQ. 

14 Miles: Your map is here. This starts with basically the Cap 10K course. Leave HQ to northside trail over to Congress. Take Congress up to 11th. Right on 11th, left on San Jacinto, then right on 12th over to Trinity. Left on Trinity up to 15th. Left on 15th, and take 15th over to Guadalupe. Right on Guadalupe up to 34th Street. Left on 34th behind the hospital complex, winding up to merger with 35th at Randall's. NOTE: CROSS STREET TO NORTH SIDE OF 35TH TO GET THE WATER STOP AT JACKSON. Left on 35th, to Jackson. Right on Jackson up to Bull Creek. Left on Bull Creek up to Hancock. Right on Hancock over to Shoal Creek. Left on Shoal Creek up past Shoalmont Drive (on your right), to a short cul de sac street called New Haven Court. Turn around at New Haven water stop, and come back down Shoal Creek to Hancock to Bull Creek, to Jackson, back to 35th. Right on 35th, crossing up and over Mopac to Exposition. Left on Expo down to Lake Austin Blvd. LA Blvd back to Mopac, to northside trail and back to GZLs HQ.

Left on Jollyville to Mesa. Right on Mesa down to Far West. Left on Far West down to Balcones (access road along Mopac). Right on Balcones down all the way to Hancock. Left on Hancock over to Bull Creek. Right on Bull Creek down to Jackson. Veer right on Jackson down to 35th. Right on 35th over to Exposition. Left on Expo down to LA Blvd. Left on LA Blvd back to Mopac. Stay on northside trail back to HQ.

Turn around at 2222/Northland, and return Shoal Creek to Hancock. Right on Hancock over to Bull Creek. Left on Bull Creek down to Jackson. Veer right on Jackson down to 35th. Right on 35th over to Exposition. Left on Expo down to LA Blvd. Left on LA Blvd back to Mopac. Stay on northside trail back to HQ.

THE MARATHONS

April 14th (Paris/Brighton): Taper Madness begins. 14-18 miles, with last 8 @ MGP. Start easy, and finish at actual MGP. CARPOOL: Gather at HQ for carpool 5:15-5:30am to travel up to Big Lots parking at Spicewood Springs and 183 for 16-18 miles. 14 milers will go on a loop course from HQ starting 5:45am.

April 15th (Boston): Taper Madness begins. 16-18 miles, with last 10-12 @ MGP. Start easy, and finish at actual MGP. CARPOOL: Gather at HQ for carpool 5:15-5:30am to travel up to Big Lots parking at Spicewood Springs and 183 for 16-18 miles.

April 27th/28th (Revel/Waco/Big Sur/Eugene/London): 12-14 mile recovery long run. Back off from last week. Start time 5:45am.

May 5th (Toronto, Vancouver, Avenue of the Giants): 18-22 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 22 mile max. CARPOOL: Gather at HQ for carpool 5:15-5:30am to travel up to Big Lots parking at Spicewood Springs and 183 for 18-22 miles.

May 18th (Beach to Bay): 16-20 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 20 mile max. CARPOOL: Gather at HQ for carpool 5:15-5:30am to travel up to Big Lots parking at Spicewood Springs and 183 for 18-20 miles.

June 2nd (San Diego): 14-18 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 18 mile max. CARPOOL: Gather at HQ for carpool 5:15-5:30am to travel up to Big Lots parking at Spicewood Springs and 183 for 16-18 miles. 14 milers will go on a loop course from HQ starting 5:45am.

June 9th (Tunnel Marathon): 10-14 mile recovery long run. Back off from last week. Start time 5:45am.

June 22nd (Grandma's): 10-12 mile recovery long run. Back off from last week. Start time 5:45am.

July 28th (San Francisco): 8-12 miles. Add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

BEGINNER GAZELLES, HALF MARATHONERS, and EVERYBODY ELSE:

Beginner Gazelles!  This week, 3-7 miles. Choose a distance amongst your pace pals, up to that 7 mile max. Start time 5:45am.

Everybody Else (GZLs peeps): 7-12 miles. If you went 12 last week, maybe cut back to 7-10 this week. For anything else, add 1-2 miles to your last longer long run, up to that 12 mile mark. Start time 5:45am.

April 7th (Cap 10K): 7-10 miles, last 4 miles hard (10K pace). Taper madness Week 2. Start time 5:45am.

April 7th (Cherry Blossom 10 miler): 10 miles, last 4 miles hard (race pace). Taper madness Week 2.
