Race Results

Congratulations SeaWheeze Gazelles! Race day was a nice change of weather for us— cloudy, 62 degrees with 87% humidity. Course was a beautiful tour through part of the city, finishing along the sea wall.

Gazelles Finish Highlights:

Adam Reiser: 1:15:14 (5th overall)
Ross Brown: 1:19:35 (10th overall)
Zeeshan Malik: 1:19:51 (12th overall)

If you would like to see how your other Gazelle friends finished, results can be found here.

Great job everyone who traveled to Canada. We hope we can make it back next year!

We’re starting a new tradition! These super awesome 2019 t-shirts will be available in September and will be FREE to the first 200 active members who attend the Family Photo on September 21, but with a catch.

You must log into your Gazelles Account online (go to the website, click on ACCOUNT, then “Edit your profile.”) and fill in the blank for your t-shirt size BEFORE AUGUST 31st. If you do that, we’ll have a shirt for you on photo day. Please take a moment to update other fields in your profile as well!

If you miss photo day or don’t update your profile, shirts will be available for purchase. Stay tuned to the blog or our Gazelles Store online for details.

The 2019 shirt is a unisex, soft, gray cotton-blend great for pre- and post-workout!

SAVE THE DATE: Gazelles Family Photo is September 21

Every year we take a Gazelles Family Photo to be shared with the group. This year’s photo will take place on Saturday, September 21 and we hope EVERYONE IS THERE! Mark your calendar for a fun morning. (and get your shirt!)

What prompted you to join Gazelles and when did you join?
In 2009 or 2010 (I can't remember), my friend and I were running with a group that trained with a former Gazelle. When we wanted to train for a full marathon, he felt that Gilbert's Gazelles would be a better group to train with because of the support you get from the whole group. I was so nervous. The Gazelles??? They are so fast, I won't be able to keep up. I run like molasses on a cold day in Maine. Gilbert was very nice and supportive when we met him. So, I joined up and started training for my first marathon. I haven't stopped since.

Which group do you run with?
I run with the groovy Monday/Wednesday 5:30 am group.

What's your favorite workout and why?
I really enjoy any of the track workouts. I love to do the fast running with a rest in between.

How has Gazelles changed your running/life?
I tell people that the quality of my friends has improved since I started running with the Gazelles. Everyone is so kind, supportive, smart and funny.

What’s your favorite Gilbert-ism or best story about him?
I loved it when Gilbert would say “eat the cookie, drop the cookie,” because I just love cookies and can't imagine dropping a cookie by choice.
