SeaWheeze Community Runs
In support of our SeaWheeze training group, Lululemon is sponsoring some Sunday social runs out of their store. The runs are open to everyone, not just SeaWheezers, so stop by if you’re interested.

What prompted you to join Gazelles and when did you join?
After following a random internet marathon training plan and training alone for the 2018 Austin Marathon, I decided to join Gazelles in June 2018 to try for a BQ by the end of the year.
Which group do you run with?
T/TH at 5:30am
What's your favorite workout and why?
Track workouts. The feeling of running fast around the track, working together within the pace group, and the occasional story telling makes it fun.
How has Gazelles changed your running/life?
The camaraderie of the Gazelles motivates me to get up early and run. On days I run with the Gazelles in the morning I’m happier and more productive at work and in life!
What’s your favorite Gilbert-ism or best story about him?
When I first joined I thought training for 3:25 to get my BQ at CIM would be good enough. Gilbert had other ideas. He told me to go for a 3:05 and run with Greg. I started running with Greg and ran a 3:08! Gilbert has shown me that I’m capable of way more than I thought I ever was.
Public Engagement on Longhorn Bridge
In 2018, the City of Austin began work on a Preliminary Engineering Report to evaluate the possibility of a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over Lady Bird Lake, as well as a review of possible interim improvements to the existing bridge. Click to learn more and get involved.
Each Gazelle featured in the Member Highlight has been selected randomly from our active member list.
