A special congratulations goes out to former Youth Gazelles coach Amber Reber on her recent engagement to David Fuentes. We’re all happy for you!

this Sunday, November 4

We hope to see all of our Gazelles sometime during the weekend whether it’s running, volunteering or spectating. Show Gilbert and the Gazelle Foundation your support by showing up for the best race in Austin! Tell your friends, co-workers and neighbors to register for the super fun 5K, 10-miler or kids K. It’s not too late!

  • Best race to practice pace for fall / winter marathons

  • Event distances for the whole family

  • Burn off Halloween candy

  • The weather is going to be perfect

  • It’s FUN!

Race Day Reminders:

  • Stop by the Gilbert’s Gazelles tent at the finish line to say hi and congratulate your fellow Gazelles.

  • Sunday is the end of Daylight Saving Time. Clocks turn back an hour on Sunday morning. If you show up for the race on Sunday morning and there aren't a lot of people there yet, you might be an hour early!

  • Yoga will be cancelled this Sunday for race day. Class will return as normal on 11/11.

  • Gilbert will not have office hours on Friday, 11/2 due to packet pickup. Office hours will resume on 11/9.

(We could use 1-2 volunteers at the Gazelles tent on race day. If you aren’t running but would like to help, email us! )

Gilbert’s Capitol Walk

RFTW Capitol Walk 2018-21.jpg

Every year, Gilbert commemorates the anniversary of escaping genocide in his home country of Burundi by carrying water from Lady Bird Lake to the Capitol. The walk was this past Friday and Gilbert was joined by friends and supporters on the trek up Congress. Some special guests from Lululemon also joined the group to ask Gilbert to become a Lululemon Ambassador! This is a huge honor for Gilbert and the Gazelles. Save the Date: Gazelles Christmas Party!

Saturday, December 8th is the annual Gazelle Christmas Party at Whole Foods.
More information to come, but put this on your calendar. You don't want to miss it!
