Recent Races, Upcoming TV

Dec 5, 2006

As usual, the Gazelles did great in recent area races including the Decker 20-K Challenge.

More than 65 Gazelles participated and finished the 20K, with Desiree Ficker winning the woman's side, and a host of Gazelle men including Kevin Kimbell, Dawit Sweyfe, Paul Pugh and Steven Hernandez all finishing near the top. Congratulations to everyone who braved the cold.

And a special thanks to all the Gazelles who volunteered their body warmth at the group's water stop, which may just become an annual tradition. Check out this great video from last year's stop.

Elsewhere, Floyd Watson ran a 2:43 to PR at the California International Marathon on Sunday. Good job Floyd. Unfortunately, this was the same race that Gilbert had to drop out of due to lingering sickness.

Finally, in other news, a previous item here mentioned that CBN would be airing a feature on Gilbert on Dec. 6th. That seems to be up in the air now, as the 700 Club show calendar no longer lists the feature, which was listed last month. Keep your DVR ready.
