Chris Rains Wins West Texas Marathon2Marathon

Afternoon Gazelle Chris Rains was top finisher at the recent Marathon2Marathon, a race between the West Texas towns of Alpine and Marathon. Fellow Gazelles Judy Shipway, Michael Chirillo and Dottie Hollis also ran well, finishing at or near the top of their age groups.
According to Gilbert, Chris "ran to win". He was with the second finisher through the first 14 miles, then "left him in the dust" (a.k.a. dropped the bomb on him). Chris' final time was 3:18.
