Gazelles do well, as usual, at CapTexTri on muggy Memorial Day.
Congratulations to Desiree Ficker for winning the CapTexTri yet again! You go, girl!! Lance Parker, Patrick Evoe, and Dan Carroll also turned in outstanding performances.
Amanda Russell had another awesome result in the Sprint, winning her age group and taking 7th overall in the Sprint.
Other Gazelles who completed the Olympic distance were Jessica Vance, Bridget Speer, and Jimmy Windham.
Paul "I can't swim" Pugh apparently dog-paddled his way to an impressive 5th place age-group finish (not bad for his 2nd tri), while David Vance and Chad Bagwell also braved the Sprint waters.
It should also be noted that Patrick had the fastest bike of the day (26mph) and Lance had the fastest run of the day (5:16 pace).
Congrats also to any other Gazelles whom I may have forgotten to mention...sorry!
